Nike X Tiffany & Co. Is The Shining Sneaker Collab We Didn’t Know We Needed

Set to be a legendary pair.

POSTED BY EMILY HEMSLEY

The upcoming collaboration will be the first time the iconic jeweler Tiffany & Co. has stepped foot into the sneaker world, adding to Nike's ever-growing list of big-player collabs, including Jacquemus, Ambush, Off-White, and Billie Eilish.

At the weekend, the brands teased what may well be the sneaker collab of the year - the new Air Force 1 Low "1837", reflecting the founding year of Tiffany & Co., complete with a Tiffany Blue Swoosh plus exclusive packaging and shining accessories.

After circulating rumors and leaked images of the shoes appeared on social media, the news broke when Nike responded by sharing an image of a Tiffany Blue box captioned "A Legendary Pair" to its own social media accounts—shortly followed by Alexandre Arnault, Tiffany's executive vice president of product and communications, and Ruba Abu-Nimah, the brand's creative director.

The sneakers, available from 7 March, take the form of the Air Force One, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. In all-black suede, they additionally feature Tiffany Blue swooshes on the outers and insides, while the classic AF1 lace clips are replaced with T, C, and O overlayed lettering (for Tiffany & Co., obvs). The rear is marked with a small silver plate displaying the number 925 to reflect the American standard for sterling silver (925 parts per 1,000 parts silver) which Tiffany influentially set since its establishment.

The Nike x Tiffany collab also includes luxury shining silver accessories: a whistle, a shoe cleaning brush, and a shoehorn which can be purchased separately.
