The Legendary Nike Air Max 1 'Atmos Elephant' Is Returning To Sneakerland
Back by extremely popular demand.
Thanks to Nike fans, a legend is returning to sneakerland in just four days. Last year, the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 Elephant won the Vote Back campaign during Air Max Day 2016, and as a result, the shoe will be making a triumphant return for AMD 2017.
Originally released in 2007, the atmos x Nike Air Max 1 Elephant sneaker takes the classic performance runner silhouette and fuses it with the signature elephant print of the Air Jordan 3, adding jade coloring and contrasts for a fresh, ultra-sporty interpretation of the 1987 sneaker. Atmos Creative Director, Hirofumi Kojima, gave fans insight into the legendary trainer’s creation and shared the impetus for the shoe’s striking color scheme, “We happened to find a pair of vintage Nike kids shoe with zebra print, and we decided to create shoes with animal prints under the concept of zoo,” said Kojima.
This celebrated sneaker will drop on March 18, 2016 for $150, and of course, will be available in limited quantities. Good luck out there!
