Actress and Goop entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow shared her daily wellness routine, and people have…questions. On Dear Media's The Art of Being Well podcast, host Dr.Will Cole sat down with Paltrow, where she shared what she eats in a day. Critics accused Paltrow of promoting "diet culture," sparking an online conversation about unrealistic diet promotion.

Paltrow's daily nourishment consists of black coffee, bone broth, and mostly vegetables, following a strict paleo diet for meal times. She added her fasting routines, along with pilates and sauna time. "It's really important for me to support my detox," said the 50-year-old actress.

Paltrow shared: "I eat dinner early in the evening. I do a nice intermittent fast. I usually eat something at about 12."

Undertaking an extreme calorie deficit, many question how Paltrow has the energy for rigorous exercise and her busy lifestyle. Promoting a restrictive, unfulfilling diet in the name of "wellness" struck many as out-of-touch, and outright "dangerous" to others.

This isn't the first time Paltrow has found herself swarmed by this type of controversy. Her Goop wellness brand is frequently questioned for its pseudoscientific and possibly risky health products, such as the $66 vaginal Jade Egg and "healing stickers." The actress went under fire for her firm stance against fast food, saying, "I'd rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a can."

Dietitians across TikTok seemingly united against Paltrow, pegging her wellness routine as unhealthy and unrealistic.

@lukehannanutrition “So on brand for both of us” - you mean promoting disordered eating habits? I agree. Lets NOT normalise unnecessarily using things that are typically used in CLINICAL settings for actual medical issues 🤦🏼‍♂️ - and NO you dont need to detox 🚩 #nutritionist #gwynethpaltrow #nutrition #wellnesstips #personaltrainer #lukehannanutrition ♬ original sound - Luke Hanna | PT & Nutritionist

"This is not wellness. This is disordered eating," said physical therapist and nutritionist Luke Hanna. "For the vast majority of people, this is not healthy physically or psychologically."

Across the internet, many are sick of celebrity-promoted "get-slim-quick" schemes, fad diets, and skinny teas. Toxic diet culture masqueraded as "wellness" is common practice on the internet, but hopefully with awareness, it'll be a long-bygone trend.
