Ukraine Airline Sets New Standards Of Comfort For Female Flight Attendants

The future of fashion is changing for the aviation industry.

In the lead up to our holiday, many of us spend time debating the perfect loungewear outfit to wear on board the flight. However, the same cannot be said for female flight attendants, whose uniform has always followed the conventional “high heels and skirt” look.

Long gone are the days of prim and proper ensembles for Ukraine airline, SkyUp. The company is revamping the dated dress code, opting for comfy chic instead. Two-piece tangerine pantsuits are paired with Nike Air Max sneakers, with the option to layer a light trench coat on top or accessorize with a silk handkerchief.

The change in uniform is a result of the airline’s collaboration with Ukrainian fashion brand, GUDU. Makeup will still be mandatory, but female staff will have a wider range of hairstyles to choose from, rather than the standardized up-dos.

The Ukrainian airline has stated that “these are clothes for those who are open to new things, those who love travel and life”. This forward thinking is just what the aviation industry needs as we move away from customary style norms, into the age of comfort and movement.
