Demi Lovato Announces They Will Be Going By They/Them Pronouns
Lovato’s Revelation Coincides With The Release Of Their Podcast.
Demi Lovato announced their decision to change their pronouns to they/them earlier this week. The news went hand-in-hand with the release of the singer’s new podcast, 4D With Demi Lovato. The podcast is the pop star’s show where they speak of “living in the 4th dimension” and “existing consciously,” as well as encourage “conversations that transcend the typical discourse.”
The Dancing with the Devil singer proudly revealed their non-binary identity on their Twitter platform as well as the podcast’s first episode.
“Over the past year and a half, I’ve been doing some healing and self-reflective work,” said Lovato as they introduced the podcast. “Through this work, I’ve had the revelation that I identify as non-binary.”
Lovato also emphasized that identifying as non-binary is what feels most fitting in their journey of self-discovery. “I feel that this best represents the fluidity I feel in my gender expression and allows me to feel most authentic and true to the person I both know I am and still am discovering.”
