Yulia Yefimtchuk Releases Powerful Post-Soviet Spring/Summer 2018 Lookbook

Female empowerment in a bright new world.

POSTED BY DEE CUNNING

After an impressive spring/summer 2018 show, Ukrainian wunderkind Yulia Yefimtchuk has unleashed her collection lookbook. The designer's conceptual and utilitarian womanswear presents clothes as art to explore social and political issues in modern society – and in the lookbook, the post-soviet undertones of the collection become even more pronounced.

The collection is dominated by Yefimtchuk's favorite colors – black red and white – which the designer says represent confidence and force, love, happiness and joy, and peace, respectively. There's also khaki and camo print which, combined with strong and androgynous workwear silhouettes, give a military feel.
