Versus Versace 2018 Spring/Summer Takes Place At London Fashion School
Donatella dedicated the show to “everyone who dares to express themselves.”
In a first for the prestigious London fashion school, Central Saint Martins became the stage for the Versus Versace 2018 spring/summer show. A champion of young talent, Donatella Versace chose the location in order to announce a new scholarship in the name of her brother Gianni, who died 20 years ago this year. The space featured a wall of speakers and giant post-it note murals, spelling out VERSUS, perfectly fitting to the scholastic theme.
The collection, “a celebration of the essence of versus in 90s New York,” had bucket hats, double denim and chokers a-plenty, with some daring looks including a (very streetwear) bra and open jacket, a fishnet dress, and a highlighter green mini dress. The allover checked looks, for both men and women, were absolutely killer.
Donatella said that this collection was about “individuality, bravery and pleasure. This is for everyone who dares to express themselves in everything they do.” Just looking at the front row, you could see the celebs got the memo, with the likes of FKA Twigs, Lottie Moss, Caroline Vreeland and Ne-Yo making an appearance.
