We're Hosting A Panel Discussion At Sneakerness Amsterdam!
Sizing up the shoeniverse with our FIZZY GIRL GANG.
Once upon a time, in a not so far away shoeniverse, women were an afterthought. Like cars, sports and drinking a six pack of cold ones after a hard day of manual labor, sneakers were a men's thing. Or so the industry seemed to think, anyway. But with brands finally – FI-NA-LLY – pricking their ears to a burgeoning female market, and with more women's-exclusive releases dropping month by month, we're taking what's rightfully ours. If the shoe fits, wear it!
We're taking this passion (read: obsession) to the incredible Sneakerness Amsterdam (May 19 to 20), where we'll be hosting a panel discussion on all things female sneakers together with our FIZZY GIRL GANG. What could the industry do better in terms of production and representation? Do we feel embraced or marginalized by sneaker culture? What does the future look like for female sneakerheads? We're bringing our voice – and we're not coming quietly.
Joining us on our FIZZY GIRL panel are: sneaker illustrator turned designer Caroll Lynn a.k.a. careaux, streetwear blogger Ginney Noa, multidisciplinary muse Aurielle Sayeh, and sneakerhead-slash-high school teacher Lalla a.k.a. Superllalla. You don't wanna miss this!
FIZZY MAG presents: If the shoe fits, wear it! Female sneakerheads size up the shoeniverse. Saturday May 19th at 2:30pm – more details TBC.
