Rihanna Meets The French President On Crusade For Better Global Education

For a self-proclaimed bad gal, Rihanna has been doing a whole lotta good of late. Last year, she took a HIV test with Prince Harry to highlight World AIDS Day – in a cheeky low-cut ensemble, no less – yesterday she met with French president, Emmanuel Macron and first lady, Brigitte Macron to discuss how France can play its part in improving global and girls' education.

The meeting came after Rihanna's previous tweet to the political leaders of France, Canada, Argentina and Germany, asking them whether they would commit to increasing funds for education. After the meeting, Macron tweeted that he was committed to taking up the challenge, with 264 million children currently out of school.

“I was so inspired and impressed with his leadership,” Rihanna told the press. “I can't wait for you guys to hear where this is going to go, but I think this is the year for education.”
