Riccardo Tisci & Nike's Victorious Minotaurs Returns For Spring 2018

Off-court luxury.

POSTED BY DEE CUNNING

Nike and Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci have unveiled the Spring 2018 collection of their Victorious Minotaurs series. The dynamic line of off-court styles and accessories for both men and women combines influences from generational basketball icons with bold, graphic pieces and a luxurious feel.

“I live for sports,” says Tisci. “There's always been sportswear in my style, and I believe the mix of sport, street and elegance is really good.”

We love how Tisci has created an entirely fictional team in order to envision the collection as a true off-court uniform. Explaining the Victorious Minotaurs concept, he says, “In the 90s, basketball players became kind of like rock stars... But now, they are more than rock stars. They’re superhuman – representative of historic mythology.”

The standouts have to be those statement takes on the Nike Air Force 1, arriving in black/yellow/red and pink/red/burgundy colorways. Tisci's signature starry detailing nestles beneath the swoosh and a striped webbing strap at the ankle finishes off the colorblocked design.

Check out the pieces in the gallery above and shop the Nike x RT collection from February 16.
