“Color placement directly affects your experience with and understanding of footwear,” says Johanna Schneider, Senior Design Director for Nike Sportswear Women’s Apparel. After falling in love with the VaporMax at first sight and being loyal to it ever since, she has designed her own colorway: a textural heathered black and gray Flyknit with a diagonal “glass bottle green” air bag design.
“I wanted to pair grounded, neutral colors with these two contrasting yet still organic colors,” explains Schneider, who offers additional color personalization options for the toe, heel piece, heel accent and tongue label via the NIKEiD service.
