Hey you! Yes you, the girl laying in her five-day-unwashed Christmas pyjamas, surrounded by a rapidly growing collection of Quality Street wrappers. Eugh, what’s that on the floor? A sticky prosecco glass, how long has that been there? Do you even know what day it is? Come on now, New Year’s Eve has been and gone and you can’t rot in bed forever! Get up out of bed and take a long, hard look at yourself. There’s confetti still in your hair from all those party poppers, your fake tan is coming off in patches and I don’t even wanna know what that smell is…

After the chaos that is the Christmas break, it’s time to snap back into reality and slip back into your routine. So, no more mimosas for breakfast, let’s get you back into some actual clothes and start our yearly reset. What’s that did you say? Well, the New Year gives us the opportunity to refresh our bodies, souls and mindsets to take on whatever 2024 throws at us. Don’t worry though, girl! I’ve got you, just follow our simple guide to feeling refreshed and rejuvenated this new year.

The Everything Shower

If there’s one thing that can make you feel like a new woman, it’s an Everything Shower. Yes, I know it’s a pain to wash your hair but let’s start the new year by washing away all the toxicity (and patchy fake tan) from the previous year. Crack open those body care kits that I know you got for Christmas and get yourself feeling clean and fresh.

 

House Harmonisation

The only thing worse than washing your hair is taking down all those damn Christmas decorations. I know, I feel your pain. Why not spice up the tidying process by treating yourself to a nice new home décor piece with those vouchers you got, or even trying out a new furniture layout after putting all your gifts away?

Realistic Resolutions

Let’s be honest here, you love cheese way too much to become a vegan and there’s no way you will be able to give up alcohol all year. Starting with realistic baby steps creates a more sustainable approach that your way more likely to stick to. Try reserving things for social occasions or lowering your general intake instead of going cold turkey.

Why not start a photo album of some of your greatest moments of 2023? Reflect on who you chose to spend time with and what memories you valued the most. Thank the people who made your year special and try avoiding those who brought you negativity.

 

Reignite

Fresh Fuel

Now you’ve pretty much finished the tub of Quality Street anyway, it’s time to get some cleaner food back into your body. Avoid all those fad diets to ‘work off’ those Christmas calories, just eat whatever makes your body feel great and you will be back on track in no time. 

 

Exciting Exercise 

Don’t fall into the trap of joining the gym in January just to give up by February. There are so many fun options to keep your body moving, why not try a spin class with the girls or even a romantic dance workshop with your partner? Trust us, when you find a sport you love then the motivation will stick.

 

See, don’t you feel better now? You look so much better than you did earlier! You have got this girl, 2024 is your year I can just feel it.
