Louis Vuitton's Fall 2018 Presentation To Be Kim Jones' Last
It's official.
Kim Jones has officially announced that he'll be leaving Louis Vuitton after tomorrow's Fall 2018 presentation. The men's artistic director has been pushing the envelope at the label since 2011, with last year's foray into the streetwear realm, that unforgettable Supreme collab, proving that he has never been afraid to take risks.
There doesn't seem to be any controversy surrounding the exit. According to WWD's report, Michael Burke, Vuitton's chairman and chief executive officer reportedly wished the designer “continued success in his next venture,” with the brand describing Jones as “the driving force behind some of the Maison’s most successful projects and collaborations.”
There's no news just yet on who will be grabbing the Vuitton baton from Jones, but according to rumors back in September, it seems that Jones might be moving on to Versace. There will also soon be a vacancy at Burberry, when chief creative officer Christopher Bailey parts ways with the brand at the end of March.
One thing's for certain: we're expecting big things come tomorrow's Louis Vuitton show.
Next up, there's still time to cop Gucci's hyped Rhyton sneaker.
