London Fashion week SS24 is the most eagerly awaited event all year round for Londoners and all over the world, for fashionistas and those who are passionate about unique, joyful and extravagant design. Compared to the biggest Fashion Weeks, London's hosts small independent designs with unique ideas.
The 40th anniversary of the first runway show will be this year, making this fashion week even more memorable. It's scheduled for February 16th through February 20th.
During the past few years, brands with designs created by women have paraded the London catwalks, and here at Fizzy Mag we want to share the importance of female influence in fashion!
Here a list of female designers that definitely can't miss:
Simone Rocha
Irish fashion designer Simone Rocha first showed her work at London Fashion Week in 2010. What makes her unique are the distinct style focuses around feminine patterns, romantic silhouettes, and puffy sleeves. Her designs, which fuse art and fashion, are centered around her passion of the natural world and love.
KNWLS
Charlotte Knowles and partner Alexandre Arsenault designed the South London-based brand KNWLS in 2017. KNWLS seeks to represent an empowered but disruptive picture of femininity that is both dangerous and sexy. A rough, industrial sensibility in which garments might feel like armour, challenging the modern feminine wardrobe.
Molly Goddard
Molly Goddard is a London-based designer. Goddard's study of transparencies, fabric manipulation, construction and volume, play into the tension between maximalism and restraint in her work. Taffeta, organdy, and silk have joined her characteristic tulle.
Sinead Gorey London
A fusion brand of women's modern and technical party apparel is called Sinead Gorey. The brand, which took inspiration from London's nightlife subcultures, went on to develop a distinctive look that has come to represent the ideal night out.
