Vocal Studio Session 🎶

Last week I went to Copenhagen for a writing trip, for the third time this year - let’s just say I love it here! As soon as we landed we went straight to a session and here I am cutting the vocals at the studio.

Coffee Collective ☕️

First stop every morning is coffee - in my opinion, the coffee in Copenhagen generally is so good - but Coffee Collective is my favourite, even if it is expensive!

Carys Selvey - My Songwriting Sister 📝👭

I was here writing with my songwriting sister - the amazingggg Carys Selvey - we write all the time together and so I really wanted to bring her with me. We were mistaken for being Danish a LOT haha.

Nyhavn 🏠⛵️

One of the classic must-see areas in Copenhagen is Nyhavn aka the colourful houses! We got up early the next morning to get some breakfast and record some content before our session.

I’ve been promoting my latest single ‘Only One on Earth’ with these QR stickers that lead to a ‘Heartbreak Anthems’ playlist. 

So I had to leave my mark… (soz) - especially as I wrote it with Andreas & Chris who are from here!

The Royal Bagel 😍🥯

We were staying in an area called ‘Norrebro’ which some of my Danish friends described as the ‘Shoreditch’ of Copenhagen. We found this unreal bagel place called ‘Royal Bagel’ which was literally the most delicious thing ever, so we had it multiple times on the trip.

The Wall of Fame 📸 🎞️

Here’s us in the studio with Cutfather & Kasper Larsen - we had just taken a polaroid and added it to the wall which was cute - it was also nice to see so many UK writers and artists on there that we know!

The Cheesiest Cheeseburger 🍔🍟

Last time I was here, I had THE best burger of my life and so I had to have it again - this is from Grillen Burgerbar - they put cheese bites inside the burger, AND have curly fries - what more could you want…

Beer and Games 🃏🍻

One evening we went to a pub with our friends, had some Danish beer and played a Danish game called Meyer - very similar to ‘Cheat’ that we have in the UK and it was so much fun!

Our Final Meal 🍜😪

On the last day, we went for lunch during our session to ‘Nordic Noodles’ which were great. The trip has gone so fast that it’s a bit of a blur… but as always, I had the best time and can’t wait to come back already!
