This Berlin Collective Launched A Hoodie To Support The EU And Criticize Brexit

POSTED BY ALLISON EDWARDS

König Souvenir, run by the team at König Galerie in Berlin, has released a collection of electric blue hoodies to support the European Union.

The latest drop followed a pro-EU talk held by the project, featuring artists Wolfgana Tillmans, Sauerbruch Hutton, Maryam Zaree and Kristoff Ritlewski. The event was held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of signing The Treaties of Rome, which laid the foundation for today’s European Union.

At the talk, the collective released the “EUnify” hoodie fitted in the European Union’s signature blue, featuring a broken EU circle— the missing star representing the UK. According to the group, the hoodie “tells not only a story about the EU, but about all broken unities, all broken circles.”

The project’s overall goal is to create a shared European identity, which they feel would put an end to the current nationalistic sentiments pervading the continent.
