Seoul Fashion Week Part 2 – For Spring/Summer 2017 Cres. E Dim Combines Loud And Soft

POSTED BY DANIJEL VUKOJA

In the musical term ‘crescendo e diminuendo’, ‘cres’ means ‘getting gradually louder’ and ‘dim’ reflectively means ‘getting gradually softer’. Designer Hong Bum Kim of Korean label CRES. E DIM applied this theory into his fashion identity and philosophy by always coming up with new silhouettes and experimenting with different fabrics overlapping the body. The shape is cut into fragments to add rhythm and the colors give vitality to the final outcome. For Spring/Summer 2017 CRES. E DIM is loud and soft at the same time: hoodies, long sleeves, holes at the back and a bunch of colors, light pink, beige, black and blue.
