Converse Releases The Short Film “Spark Progress” For Their SS19 Campaign

The focus of the new Converse campaign "Spark Progress" is on the stories of five women from the creative scene in London. The campaign focuses on their personal ambitions and challenging realities.

With the new clip "Spark Progress" Converse portrays an innovative generation of female changemakers who simply take their future into their own hands. The short film is the kick-off of the SS19 campaign and symbolizes Converse's commitment to supporting and co-creating the youth to reach even more. "Spark Progress" documents the creative processes of five women-their ambitions, difficulties , Challenges and achievements in their respective ways: Ama Lou (singer, songwriter and filmmaker from northern London), Paria Farzaneh (London based menswear designer from Iran), Lava La Rue (singer, skateboarder and artist from West London), Raye (Singer and songwriter from South London) and Feng Chen Wang (London-based menswear designer from China).


Inspiring other young talents to sustain creative progress is the goal behind documenting the different stories of the five young women. Each of them embodies the spirit of Converse and is known in their own field for acting on their own agenda - and with great success. From apartments in Ladbroke to recording studios in Hackney and roof terraces in Peckham to the legendary Printworks event. The location combines "Spark Progress" elements from the everyday life of women with those very special, floating between the worlds moments before they share their art with the public. Thus, the audience will get an unvarnished view of the highs and lows of Daseinein young creative, and may even see for themselves a way to break out of a gray everyday life.

The credo of the film also sums up its essence: "While others decide our future, we are busy creating them ourselves."
