MOSCHINO who is known as of late on the street scene for the brands ironic outtakes on society, recently debuted one of the most frequented clichés: wedding the past and the present. This time however, with the creative genius of Jeremy Scott backed by B.F.F Katy Perry (who flew into Florence just to support his show) the designer cited an all time classic. With Scott`s first presentation at Pitti, he certainly demonstrated a method to madness. As Fellini`s Casanova and the 18th century silhouettes were his apparent inspiration, he presented a multitude of references from the past with an evident futuristic twist.

Aristocratic colourful cyclists inspired outfits were topped with encrusted crowns. 18th century frocks and embellishments danced down the runway as a modernized lothario sparked a keen eye amongst onlookers. Colour and pattern play were apparent in the modernization of past models and playfully so in Scott and Moschino manner. Exaggerated jewels cascaded over six packs, where a light cartoonish air circulated the room. With Scott`s finishing touch on his masterpiece, the entire show was lit up by illuminating entire space highlighting the baroque architecture and perfectly capturing his desired atmosphere-the future met by the past.
