Revealing The New Calvin Klein Logo

POSTED BY KIRSTI ALEXANDRA REID

Raf Simons is making his mark as newly appointed creative director of Calvin Klein by changing the look of their logo. Throughout the years, Calvin Klein has had a few different logos, each slightly different than the other, enabling the brand to update their look without loosing their recognition. The most notable previous logos include a simple Calvin Klein text with a capital C and a capital K and one with the letters only, a small C and larger K back to back. Now, we have a new logo to revel in and it’s just all capitals.

Simple and to the point, the logo harks back to the spirit of the original brand and an acknowledgment of the brands roots.

Made in collaboration with art director and graphic designer, Peter Saville, it’s not the first time the pair have worked together. Saville was also the muse and co creator for Simons’ Fall 2003 menswear collection.

Simons is due to debut his first collection for Calvin Klein on February 10th during New York Fashion Week. Let’s hope the collection does the long, established brand justice!
