Rising Star Billie Eilish Is Unapologetically Herself In SSENSE Editorial

16-year-old singer Billie Eilish is one of pop music's ones-to-watch. Not only does she have a huge following – over 600,000 followers on Instagram – but she has already caught the eye of Charli XCX who tweeted, “manifesting that billie eilish, sophie and cupcakke become the biggest artists of 2018.” She's been signed since the tender age of 14 and released her debut EP, dont smile at me, last August before embarking on her current near-sellout world tour.

Her new SSENSE feature – an editorial and an interview – illustrates Eilish's moody teen appeal perfectly. “I've been so salty today, I apologize,” she admits to the interviewer. The frowning silver-haired beauty slumps in a deli booth, stares pensively through half-closed blinds and fixes boredly on the camera – all while sporting the sickest streetwear, of course.
