Balenciaga Deletes All Social Media Posts
Why did the brand go social media silent?
Balenciaga’s followers will most likely have noticed this week that the label mysteriously deleted all posts from their Instagram account.
Not much is known as to the reasons for this sudden cyberspace vanishing, but assumptions are being made. We’re anticipating that the unexpected decision is a prequal event to the brand’s haute couture scheduled show next week. The show will be the first haute couture line-up the Balenciaga has showcased for 53 years, with this in mind, we are expecting more spectacular moves to take place, whether that be on the runway...or off.
Most likely the brand is preparing for a revamp in the wake of the upcoming show, something reminiscent of Bottega Venetta’s decision to become strangers to social media and rely solely on word-of-mouth and print/online journalism.
Balenciaga have also removed all posts from both Twitter and Facebook accounts. We look forward to discovering why. July 7th can’t come soon enough...
