ARKK Copenhagen Imagines A 'Slow Future' For Its SS18 Collection
The best of Nordic minimalism.
ARKK Copenhagen is back, and bigger than ever. For its Spring/Summer 2018 collection, the Scandinavian sneaker brand expands with more colorways, more tech, new outsoles and showstopping new uppers.
For those of us who regularly find ourselves buckling under the strain of fast-paced modern existence, the collection's 'Slow Future' concept couldn't be more enticing. Considering the “why” behind everything, ARKK has slowed down to carefully consider every design detail in its sneaker construction; it's innovative and futuristic, but on its own terms.
Arriving in a muted color palette of peach, gray and white, the elevated, sock-like form of the sneakers takes center stage. The highlights of the collection are the super-pretty women's-exclusive FG 2.0 Peach, refitting the original Raven silhouette with a FutureGrid upper, and the lace-free Pythron S-E15 White Light Grey – the ultimate hybrid sneakerboot, inspired by the architecture of Copenhagen's Black Diamond library.
Check out all of the collection highlights in the lookbook above. The full range is available tomorrow, February 9, at ARKK Copenhagen.
